Ravensburger TipToi - Why? Why? Why? All about the body
It's amazing what our body can do! What are the smallest and largest bones in the body? Why am I sweating or freezing? And what is good for the body? In this book, children learn all kinds of interesting facts about the different components of the human body. Using scenes from children's everyday life, tiptoi explains to the little explorers how their bodies work: the lungs are in action when blowing soap bubbles, the children have goose bumps after the water fight and muscles are required on the climbing frame. What does the tractor do in the field? When does the fire brigade come? How big does a pony get? The interactive non-fiction series tiptoi Why? Why? Why? answers important children's questions at eye level. The detailed images are brought to life by numerous authentic sounds and narrative texts. The expertise is explained in an age-appropriate manner and is professionally tested. Thanks to the simple and intuitive use with the tiptoi pen, children can access the content themselves in a playful way. They learn to understand connections and learn everything about their everyday life and their environment. In addition, there is an exciting radio play on each page, which allows the children to dive even deeper into the respective topic. Fascinating stories, songs and games invite you to discover and explore on your own. Must be purchased separately. I was born on 15.10.1963 in Berlin. From 1984 to 1989 I studied at the Department of Visual Communication at the HdK-Berlin (now UdK), where I also graduated as a graphic designer. From 1985 I was in the class of Professor Jürgen Spohn, where the focus was on illustration. Some of my former classmates, with whom I am still good friends today, are now known as successful picture book illustrators (e.g. Klaus Baumgart, Ralf Butschkow). After graduating, I started my own business as an illustrator and made picture books for children right from the start. In the beginning, I was also the author of 4 of my published picture books. In 1995 I married my husband Christian and also in 1995 and in 1998 my two daughters Laura and Joana were born. The four of us still live happily in Berlin's Hansaviertel, where I grew up. Since the birth of my children, I have worked as an illustrator for many different picture book publishers and textbook publishers. To this day, I still enjoy my work a lot and I am very happy to have been able to work at Ravensburger in the non-fiction sector since 2010, as this is where I see my strengths.
